10. Work Carried Out on Behalf of Clients
Some of my services involve setting up or configuring tools on a client’s own website and accounts — for example Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, Google Ads, Google Business Profile and cookie consent banners.
- These accounts are created in the client’s name and belong to the client. I am granted access only so that I can carry out the agreed work.
- The client decides what is collected on their website and why. I act on their instructions, for the purpose and duration of the agreed project.
- Access I hold is handed back or removed when the work ends, or sooner if the client asks.
- I do not use a client’s data, or the data of a client’s customers, for my own purposes. I do not copy it, sell it, share it, add it to my own marketing lists, or reuse it for other clients.
- Where I build a reporting dashboard, it reads live from the client’s own accounts. It does not create a separate store of their data held by me.
If you are a customer of one of my clients and have a question about how that business collects or uses your data, please contact that business directly. They are responsible for their own website and their own privacy notices.
